General Information

A For-Profit Zine featuring 20 Page Artists, 6-8 Spot Artists, 5 Merch Artists, and 6-8 Writers dedicated to The Apothecary Diaries / Kusuriya no Hitorigoto.The zine will be printed digitally and/or physically at A5 size depending on Interest Check results as well as physical and digital merchandise such as prints, emotes, stickers, and more.The zine is managed through a Discord Server. A Discord user account is preferred for all contributor applicants.Specifications and Templates will be provided to contributors in the Discord Server.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will the zine features ships?
Yes, the zine will feature ships, preferably as they are featured in the anime, manga, and light novel.Will the zine be spoiler free?
The zine at this time will be spoiler free. Content from Season 1 of the anime and up to Light Novel 2 are allowed. The mod team is considering a spoiler-allowed mini-zine companion that will feature beyond the first season of the anime.Will the zine be physical or digital?
The zine plans to be physical, but may be digital only depending on how the Interest Check goes.What is expected from Page Artists?
Page Artists are expected to at least finish a single page A5 sized piece. Artists are allowed to do a double page spread and up to 2 finished pieces. Doing more than 1 finished piece is optional.What is expected for Spot Artists?
Spot Artists will be able to pair up with a writer to provide 3-4 small illustrations to accompany a writer's story.What is expected of Merch Artists?
2 finished, high quality pieces. Assignments will be given after the Concept Check-In period. You may not get your first choice of merchandise, but you will get at 2 from your top 4 pitches.What is expected of Writers? Writers are expected to provide a single story consisting of 2,500 words minimum in the English language. A maximum of 3,000 words will be permitted. Writers are also welcome to work with spot artists to provide small illustrations for their stories.How will Contributors be compensated?
Contributors will be compensated for sure with a digital copy of the zine and will have the option of receiving profits and a physical copy of the zine and all merchandise budget permitting. Profits will be split evenly among all contributors and mods.Are minors permitted to participate in the zine?
No, due to there being financial gain from this zine, minors cannot legally participate.Are AUs allowed?
No, but canon-divergent scenarios are allowed (Ex. Maomao being raised by her parents or Jinshi being a patron of the Verdigris House).
